I’m a lover of images. Photography, paintings, design, films and architecture all fascinate me. Often, I feel captivated and entranced by certain visual compositions, colour schemes and textures.
All things bicycle are great! Races, tours or simply rolling around town… What fun stuff! The freedom and the gentle quiet pace have influenced my photos as they allow me to discover and photograph places and people which are missed when traveling with motorised forms of transportation.
A few years ago, I decided to undertake my very first solo bike tour. Experiencing the small country roads of Thailand with only the absolute necessity provided me with an immense sense of joy and gratitude.
Living away from home since 2003, I feel privileged to have met people who have had a deep impact on my life. I came to realise that once you are in motion and out of your comfort zone, you encounter a real quantum leap of experiences.
My time in Asia has given me the opportunity to study Buddhism, which has fascinated me since my childhood. Although meditation has been part of my life for more than 15 years, being here and immersing myself in this “way of life” has allowed me to get acquainted with some of its more subtle elements (from a westerner’s perspective), such as the 8 Fold Path.
I’ve started this blog in order to share my images and ideas as well as to engage in conversations with others about art, bike trips, protecting the environment as well as journeys of the soul.
